th for the following programs!

Tuesday, May 12th at 6pm: Back to the Earth: A Green Burial Workshop (IN
PERSON). Curious about natural burial and eco-friendly funeral options? In this workshop,
we’ll explore how green burial supports a natural return to the earth. Learn about
sustainable alternatives to conventional burial and cremation, ask questions, and join a
thoughtful community conversation about caring for the planet, even at the end of life.
Sarah Gladstone is a Death Doula, End of Life Planner, and Grief Guide with Human
Condition Death Care. Registration requested.
Tuesday, May 12th at 7pm: Marvelous Meatless Menus (VIRTUAL). Come learn to
prepare and think about food in a new way. Vegetarian and professional chef, Leslie
Cerier, will show us how to easily create delicious meatless food that will satisfy your
palate and your body. This is a no-guilt program. Attend whether you want to dabble with
a few recipes or change your relationship with food altogether. Registration required.
Wednesday, May 13th at 5:30pm: Our Amazing Birds (VIRTUAL). Enjoy beautiful bird
photography that illustrates the diversity in avian feeding techniques, mating systems,
migration feats, tool use, food storage, brood parasitism, nest building, and plumage
coloration. Bill Gette, Founding Director of Mass Audubon’s Joppa Flats Education Center
and Past President of the Friends of Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, has been
birding since 1961. Registration required.
Thursday, May 14th at 1pm: Book Bites Cookbook Group (IN PERSON). Book Bites
is a monthly discussion & potluck of a featured cookbook and meets every first Thursday
of the month. (Note: this month is the 2nd Thursday). Instead of plotlines and characters,
we discuss food and recipes! This month’s cookbook is “Amrikan : 125 recipes from the
Indian American diaspora” by Khushbu Shah. Registration required.
Thursday, May 14th at 2pm: The Painter’s Palette: A History of Color (VIRTUAL). We
may take for granted the use of color in art, but historically, much thought, effort and
expense has gone into that choice. Drawing on the work of many authors, we will explore
the world of colors and learn how certain colors were discovered, created and exploited.
As we go, art historian Mary Woodward will introduce us to some new pigments and dyes
less familiar perhaps! Registration required.
Thursday, May 14th at 5:30pm: Spring Baking with Chef Kelcy (VIRTUAL). Welcome
spring into your kitchen with this fun and informative virtual baking class, hosted by Chef
Kelcy live from her kitchen. Together, you’ll learn how to make a savory herb and cheddar
soda bread, delicate lavender shortbread cookies, and versatile crepes with both a savory
spring filling and a sweet option featuring lemon curd and fresh fruit. Whether you’re

looking to refresh your baking routine or try something new, this class is full of inspiration
for the season. Registration required.
