Interested in broadcast as a career? An internship with the NCM Hub is designed to provide students and recent graduates with access to media production equipment and hands-on experience in the field of public broadcasting. Interns must have basic skills in their area of interest (camera operation, basic editing, etc.) and plenty of initiative and motivation to be able to jump in and learn by doing. Interns may choose a specific area including: video production, sound engineering, and event marketing. You must have a passion for media production and digital technology to apply.
- Video Production – After completion of one or two internships in this discipline an intern may be considered for employment as a Community Production and Training Assistant.
- Sound Engineering – Sound Engineering interns will learn the essentials of mic placement, recording, equalizing (EQing), use of audio interfaces, and mixing tracks on Apple Logic.
- Event Marketing – An Event Marketing intern will assist with marketing the Earth Port Film Festival, Newburyport High School Promenade and High School Graduation Live. We welcome your ideas!
