Interested in broadcast as a career? An internship with the NCM Hub is designed to provide students and recent graduates with knowledge and hands-on experience in the field of public broadcasting. Interns would choose a specific area including: video production, sound engineering, and the Earth Port Film Festival. In these areas, interns would train on equipment, interact with staff members, and learn how to spread community news through radio and tv broadcasting.
- Sound Engineering – Sound Engineering interns will learn the basics by first setting up a small demo session and mix it. Interns will then learn the essentials of mic placement, EQing, digital effects, camera operation, various editing softwares and Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Event Marketing – An Event Marketing intern will assist with marketing the Earth Port Film Festival, Newburyport High School Promenade and High School Graduation Live.
- Community Production and Training – After completion of one or two internships in this discipline an intern will be considered for employment as a Community Production and Training Associate.
