Please join us at the Newburyport Public Library during the week of March 16th
through the 21st for the following programs!

Monday, March 16th at 9:30am: AMA (Ask Me Anything) with Resume & LinkedIn
Coach Virginia Franco (VIRTUAL). Join Virginia Franco, founder of Virginia Franco
Resumes, for an AMA (“Ask Me Anything”) online Q&A for job seekers. She welcomes
any questions about resumes and LinkedIn writing. Registration required.

Tuesday, March 17th at 6pm: Community Seed Swap (IN PERSON). Join the
Newburyport Public Library for a Community Seed Swap and celebrate the launch of this
year’s Seed Library! Check out the many new seeds available this year and bring your
own extra seeds to share. Stop in at our Seed Starting Station to get planting right away
or get creative at our Craft Station and make your own plant markers for your garden. No
registration required.

The Great Old Book Sale is coming!
Book Sale Donations: March 21, 23 and 24.
Friends of the Library Members’ Sale: Wednesday, March 25.

Ongoing Programs Occurring Next Week:
Shelf Help Subscription Bag: Shelf Help is a book recommendation service that
provides you with three to five book suggestions based on your reading preferences! To
register for a book bag, fill out the online form below with your information and reading
tastes. The more you tell us, the better our recommendations will be! Registration is
open until March 25th. Occurs every other month.

Tuesday, March 17th at 8am: Yoga and Mindfulness (VIRTUAL). Improve your
physical and mental well-being by joining registered yoga teacher Ree Coleman for
yoga and mindfulness practice. Classes are held online, and no registration is
necessary. The Zoom link and meeting ID can be found on the library website’s events
calendar.

Thursday, March 19th at 3pm: Classics Book Group (IN PERSON). The Classics Book
Group meets in-person on the third Thursday of every month in the Director’s Room. This
month’s title is “East of Eden” by John Steinbeck. Registration required.

Mondays & Thursdays from 2:30pm to 3:30pm: Drop-In Tech Time (IN PERSON).
Bring your simple technology questions for a drop-in session. We can help with the
basics for your phones, laptops, tablets, and e-readers, including accessing library
resources, adding Libby to a personal device, basic computer navigation, and general
internet instruction. Sessions can last up to 30 minutes and are run with available staff
on a first come, first served basis.

Drop-In Social Services Support (IN PERSON). The City’s licensed professional
social worker, Trish Boateng, offers regular drop-in hours at the Library for any
Newburyport resident who may need assistance. Get connected with assistance for
food, housing, transportation, health, childcare, or other necessities. Meetings are
offered on a first-come, first-served basis every Tuesday afternoon at the library, 1:30-
2:30pm.
