Dear Friend,
Despite Republicans giving the largest tax cuts to billionaires we’ve ever seen as part of the “One Big Ugly Bill”, they continue to show no willingness to negotiate with House Democrats to permanently extend the ACA tax credits that would keep health care costs affordable for millions of everyday Americans.
If the ACA tax credits end, nearly 22 million people will see their health care costs dramatically rise. Right here in MA-06, 28,000 people rely on these federal subsidies to afford their health insurance.
I am already hearing from a number of my constituents, like a former NICU nurse whose premiums will be up $1,450 per month, about the devastating impact of these ACA tax credits not being extended.
