Dear Friends,
Yesterday marked the start of Medicare Open Enrollment – a critical window for folks already enrolled in Medicare to review their plans and make changes if needed. From now through December 7th, you can update your coverage for 2026. If you’re happy with your current plan, there’s nothing you need to do – your coverage will automatically renew.
Navigating Medicare can be a confusing process, but you don’t have to figure it out alone. SHINE counselors provide free insurance counseling to Medicare beneficiaries. To find a local SHINE counselor, click here. Likewise, you can contact your local Council on Aging.
For more information on your options, you can visit Medicare.gov or call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). To keep your current Medicare coverage, you do not need to re-enroll.
Even if you don’t plan on making changes this year, it’s still worth taking a few minutes to double-check your plan.
My staff and I are here to help however we can. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if my office can support you during this enrollment period.
