Statement by Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr Regarding the Assassination of Charlie Kirk
Boston (09/11/2025) – Senate Minority Leader Bruce Tarr (R-Gloucester) released the following statement today regarding the Assassination of Charlie Kirk:
“The freedom to express views, regardless of what they are, is a fundamental element of our democracy. This freedom is what Charlie Kirk was exercising when his life was taken in a despicable act of political violence.
This tragedy tears at the fabric of our society – and it should be condemned at every opportunity and our resolve to prevent this type of tragedy should be intensified in the days ahead.
Our nation’s future depends on our collective ability to express ourselves without the fear of violence and harm.”
