Fiscal Year ’26 Budget Forum
The City of Newburyport will hold a Public Forum on May 6, 2025, at 7pm at City Hall to share information regarding the upcoming fiscal year 2026 budget. Mayor Sean Reardon and City officials will present an overview of the upcoming budget to be deliberated by the City Council.
Each year the Mayor must submit a budget to the City Council by May 15. The Council has 45 days to deliberate and adopt the budget. The new budget year starts July 1, 2025 and ends June 30, 2026. The presentation will share an overview of the city’s finances and plans to maintain excellent resident services in the upcoming year.
