Monday, May 5th at 6 pm: Linocut Printmaking (IN PERSON). In this class students will be introduced to the printmaking process of linocut. The class will cover techniques in carving linoleum, composition, ink mixing, and printing. Registration required.
Tuesday, May 6th at 6 pm: Raptors Rule (IN PERSON). Meet some amazing owl and raptor species up close while learning all about them.
Through educational programs featuring non-releasable raptors, Tailwinds Raptor Education & Conservation connects the community with these birds up close.

Saturday, May 10th at 2:30 pm: Powow River Poets Reading (IN PERSON). Please join the Powow River Poets for their monthly poetry reading. The invited readers this month are Cristina Cortez, Rhina P. Espaillat, and Paulette Demers Turco.

Monday, May 12th at 6 pm: Brunch! (VIRTUAL). Learn all about building your own eggs benedict, complete with how to make hollandaise sauce and poach an egg. Class is paired with Chef Kelcy’s famous Garlic Cheddar Chive Scones and seasonal vegetables.

The Next Chapter Book Group invites you to join our monthly book discussion on the first Wednesday of the month. We will be meeting at the Senior Community Center. This month’s title is “The Downstairs Girl” by Stacey Lee.

Thursday, May 15th at 3 pm: Classics Book Group (IN PERSON). Join NPL’s Classics Book Group! This group meets in-person on the third Thursday of every month in the Director’s Room. This month’s title is “The Trial” by Franz Kafka.

Wednesday, May 21st at 3 pm: Case Closed Book Group (VIRTUAL). Do you enjoy mystery, thriller and true crime novels? Come join the Case Closed Book Group on the third Wednesday of the month! We read a variety of mystery, thriller and true crime books;
fiction and non-fiction! New readers are always welcome. We also do not discourage those who were unable to finish the current title from attending! This month’s title is “Unmasked: My Life Solving America’s Cold Cases” by Paul Holes.
