Greater Newburyport Green Expo 2025: Empowering Community, Building Resilience
NEWBURYPORT, MA — The Greater Newburyport Green Expo offers a free,
family-friendly celebration of sustainability and climate action. The event will take place
on Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Francis T. Bresnahan Elementary
School and the Newburyport Senior/Community Center (32 North Atkinson Street).
The event’s main attractions span both venues to provide a comprehensive experience
for all attendees. At the Bresnahan Gym, visitors can check out the Exhibitor Display
featuring local businesses, nonprofits, education and service providers offering
sustainable products, information on climate resiliency and green living solutions. The
Senior Center parking lot will host an Electric Vehicle Showcase where attendees can
explore the latest electric vehicles, e-bikes, and electric lawn equipment while
connecting with owners and experts about incentives, charging options, and clean
transportation options.
Throughout both locations, the event offers Interactive Family Activities including
composting demonstrations, native plant gardening information, energy-saving games,
and hands-on learning opportunities for all ages. Attendees can also participate in City
Climate Tours, featuring guided bus tours of Newburyport’s infrastructure to see
firsthand how the city is preparing for climate impacts. Tours depart from Bresnahan
Elementary School at 2 pm and require a separate ticket.
Parking is limited at the event sites. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, or carpool
when possible to reduce congestion and support sustainable transportation. The
entrance at 331 High Street will be closed.
