Monday, April 7th at 7pm: Local Farms, MA – Produce, Meats, Dairy, Oh My! (VIRTUAL).
Join the growing number of people who are buying their produce, meats, dairy products from local farms. Working with Ashland’s Town Sustainability Coordinator, Samantha Riley, we’ll have a virtual panel of farmers who will help us understand the benefits of
shopping locally grown and give us suggestions for reputable growers in our area.

Monday, April 7th at 7pm: Behind the Headlines: Understanding Bird Flu (VIRTUAL).
Dr. Catherine Brown is the Massachusetts State Epidemiologist, Public Health Veterinarian, and current President of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists. She will give a clear and authoritative presentation of the nation’s current situation
and the risk that avian influenza presents. Virtual registration required.

Tuesday, April 8th at 7pm: Batch Cooking and Your Healthy New Habits (VIRTUAL). We are happy to welcome cookbook author Terry Walters to learn about batch cooking. Learn to cook plant-forward, healthy, and delicious foundational recipes that can be prepared
for one meal and then upcycled for multiple different quick and easy meals thereafter.

Ongoing Programs Occurring Next Week:
Wednesday, April 9th at 5:30pm: NPL Art Hive (IN PERSON). All skill levels are welcome. Please bring in your own supplies and projects to work on. The Library will also provide coloring pages, color pencils, and origami. Suggested art hive projects include
knitting and crocheting, collaging, small-scale watercolors and/or drawings.
Tuesdays at 8:00 am: Yoga and Mindfulness (VIRTUAL). Improve your physical and mental well-being by joining Registered Yoga Teacher Ree Coleman for yoga and mindfulness practice. No registration is necessary. The Zoom link and meeting ID can be found
on the library website.
Wednesdays at 2:30 pm: Movie Matinee (IN-PERSON). Titles are posted on the library website.
Drop-In Social Services Support (IN-PERSON). The City’s licensed professional social worker Trish Boateng offers regular drop-in hours at the Library for any Newburyport resident who may need assistance. Get connected with assistance for food, housing, transportation, health, child care, or other necessities. Meetings are offered on a first-come, first-served basis every Tuesday afternoon at the library, 1:30-2:30 pm.
