Tuesday, April 1st at 6 pm: 100 Years of Boston Comedy (IN PERSON). Arts journalist Nick Zaino explores Boston’s long history of comedy, from vaudeville to YouTube, highlighting some of the personalities that have defined laughter in America for 100

Wednesday, April 2nd at 7 pm: Author Hour with Bestselling Author Marie Benedict (VIRTUAL).
Bestselling author Marie Benedict will discuss her new historical fiction mystery, The Queens of Crime, in this installment of “Author Hour in Massachusetts.”

Thursday, April 3rd at 10:30 am: Claude Monet: Obsessed with the Natural World (VIRTUAL).
Claude Monet is one of the most recognizable and celebrated figures in art history. Learn all about how this revered figure went from being an impoverished, rejected outsider to becoming a ground-breaking icon of Modernism. Virtual registration required.
Monday, April 7th at 7 pm: Local Farms, MA – Produce, Meats, Dairy, Oh My! (VIRTUAL).
Join the growing number of people who are buying their produce, meats, dairy products from local farms. Working with Ashland’s Town Sustainability Coordinator, Samantha Riley, we’ll have a panel of farmers who will help us understand the benefits of shopping
locally grown and give us suggestions for reputable growers in our area. Virtual registration required.
Monday, April 7th at 7 pm: Behind the Headlines: Understanding Bird Flu (VIRTUAL).
Dr. Catherine Brown is the Massachusetts State Epidemiologist and Public Health Veterinarian, and current President of the Council of State and Territorial Epidemiologists. She will give a clear and authoritative overview of the nation’s current situation

NEW! Wednesday, April 16th at 3 pm: Case Closed Book Group (VIRTUAL). Do you enjoy mystery, thriller and true crime novels? Come join the Case Closed Book Group on the third Wednesday of the month! We read a variety of mystery, thriller and true crime
books; fiction and non-fiction! New readers are always welcome. We also do not discourage those who were unable to finish the current title from attending! This month’s title is

Once a month: Home Delivery Services! Are you unable to come to the library? Let the library come to you! Any Newburyport who is possession of a library card and meets one of the following conditions is eligible for this program: (1) A disability and/or
health issue which prevents an individual from visiting the Library, (2) Mobility issues which prevent an individual from visiting the Library, (3) Temporary physical limitations (or illness) which prevent an individual from visiting the Library for a minimum

Tuesdays at 8:00 am: Yoga and Mindfulness (VIRTUAL). Improve your physical and mental well-being by joining Registered Yoga Teacher Ree Coleman for yoga and mindfulness practice. Classes will be held online for the rest of the winter. No registration
is necessary. The Zoom link and meeting ID can be found on the library website.
Wednesdays at 2:30 pm: Movie Matinee (IN-PERSON). Titles are posted on the library website.
Drop-In Social Services Support (IN-PERSON). The City’s licensed professional social worker Trish Boateng offers regular drop-in hours at the Library for any Newburyport resident who may need assistance. Get connected with assistance for food, housing,
transportation, health, child care, or other necessities. Meetings are offered on a first-come, first-served basis every Tuesday afternoon at the library, 1:30-2:30 pm.
Council on Aging Outreach Services Drop-In Hours (IN-PERSON). Outreach Specialist from the Council on Aging, Ann Freeman, is available at the Library to residents interested in learning more about the outreach services provided by the Council on Aging.

Mondays & Thursdays from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm: Drop-In Tech Time (IN-PERSON).
Bring your simple technology questions for a drop-in session. We can help with the basics for your phones, laptops, tablets, and e-readers, including accessing library resources, adding Libby to a personal device, basic computer navigation, and general internet
instruction. Sessions can last up to 30 minutes and will be run with available staff on a first come, first served basis. Contact info@newburyportpl.org or call us at 978-465-4428 x 2 with questions.
Thursdays (bi-weekly) at 5:15 pm: Spanish Conversation Group (IN-PERSON).
All levels are welcome! However, it may be best suited for those who have a basic knowledge of Spanish or above. Please note, this is not a class, but it can be a great way to practice your Spanish conversational skills and connect with others who have an interest
in the language. The group is led by a Spanish-speaking librarian. Registration required.
