This Week on the “Morning Show”:
“A Modern Requiem” with Playwright Joshua Faigen & Director Leslie Pasternack
This week I have the pleasure of talking with award-winning playwright and Newburyport resident Joshua Faigen about the premiere of his new play, “A Modern Requiem,” which will be performed on Saturday, April 5th at 2 PM and 8 PM and Sunday, April 6th at 4 PM at The Space@ZFDM in Amesbury.
Josh will be accompanied by Leslie Pasternack, who both acts in and directs the production. They will discuss how the love triangle among composers Robert and Clara Schumann and Johannes Brahms provided inspiration for the play.
Josh will describe how the play combines meditations on themes of love, grief, and time with music by Brahms.
