The Newburyport Parks Division of DPS and the Harbor Master would like to inform residents that the boat docks will be removed from the river and stored in Market Landing Park beginning Tuesday morning, November 12th, at 8 a.m. The boardwalk and Market Landing Park will be temporarily closed throughout the day or until the work is complete. Due to the large storage area needed for the docks, the only viable storage solution was to put them on the lawn areas of Market Landing. This has been the plan since the earliest stages of the project. Lawn growth tarps will be placed under the docks so that the turf will be protected over the winter. The Harbor Master hopes to have the docks back in the water by early April. Residents are encouraged to stay clear of the pathways near the river while the docks are being removed on Tuesday, November 12th.
