The Newburyport Police Department has posted recommended Trick-or-Treating hours throughout the City of Newburyport as Halloween evening, Thursday, October 31st from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Residents who want to participate should activate their outside lights during this time. Parents and children should avoid any homes where outside lights are not activated. Parents and children should all wear light colored /reflective clothing and use flashlights to warn motorists of their presence.
