This Week on “The Morning Show”
Bert Snow on Sculpture at Maudslay State Park

Walking at Maudslay is always beautiful and inspiring. But it’s extra enchanting and fun when the park is peppered with intriguing, colorful, large scale sculptures. This week, Bert Snow, artist and coordinator of the Sculpture at Maudsley State Park exhibition, will visit to discuss the 25-year history of the outdoor show, which is currently underway and will continue through September 29th.

I’ll talk with Bert about the original vision for the annual three-week non-juried outdoor sculpture show featuring local artists as well as diverse community members, and how it has evolved over time.

Bert will discuss the significance of this year’s theme of Thread, chosen by the 49-plus participating artists. He will also talk about what artists and visitors say about the show’s impact and importance, and will describe some of this year’s works that are particularly unusual or thought provoking because of style, size, materials, message, or techniques.
