New Theater Work, “Aspects” by
Local Playwright Joshua Faigen

Local playwright Joshua Faigen will visit the show this week to talk about the premiere of his new theatrical work, “Aspects,” which consists of six movements of music by composers including Beethoven, Brahms, and Rachmaninoff, accompanied by actors performingFaigen’s words. Actor Sally Nutt and musician & piano teacher Penny Lazarus will accompany him.
Josh has won numerous national playwriting awards and had plays produced in Boston, Buffalo, Los Angeles, and New York, among other cities.
I will talk with Josh about how “Aspects” was inspired by philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein’s observation that “aspects of things that are most important for us are hidden because of their simplicity and familiarity.”
Performances are June 22nd and 23rd at 8 p.m. in the Chapel at Oak Hill Cemetery on Brown Street in Newburyport. Audience members may pay whatever they wish, but must register either via e-mail to j.faigen@comcast.net or at ASPECTS: a performance | lemonpunchtheatrelab.com/.
