The Newburyport Public Library is hosting an upcoming program! Check out all the
events we are hosting on our website.
Tuesday, April 30th at 6 pm: Henna Alchemy (IN-PERSON).
In this workshop, participants will get a brief education about the history and culture of
henna before we get to work making our own paste using various ingredients. We will
also come to learn how to recognize chemical henna and understand its dangers, as we
come to understand why making fresh, natural henna is critical to public safety.
All patrons will receive a link to a video helping them to check for dye release and get the
paste into cones when they are ready the following day. The end of the workshop includes
henna designs for everyone!
Mandy Roberge is the owner of Wicked Good Henna.
*The second hour of the event will be open for additional people to come get henna done
by Mandy! This henna design session is limited to an hour and is first come, first served.
Registration required. 15-person capacity for the first hour. If you register and can
no longer attend, please cancel your reservation as early as possible.
