Purpose & Overview of the International Cultural Festival

Newburyport High School’s Global Citizenship Program is hosting an International
Cultural Festival on Wednesday, March 6th from 6:30 to 8:30pm in the high school.
The festival is organized by Global Citizenship Program students and staff who are
passionate about promoting diversity. The festival is a great way for students, families
and the community to learn about different cultures.

The festival includes interactive workshops and exhibits designed by students,
teachers, and local community organizations that allow attendees to learn more about
various cultures, traditions, local global programs and world issues.

The festival includes live performances featuring student and professional guest
musicians including the Amazigh Tribe band “Nomidans”, members of the North Shore
Pipe Band, and local artist Karen McCarthy with NHS student musicians.

What: 2nd Annual International Cultural Festival
Where: Newburyport HIgh School, 241 High St. Newburyport, MA
Date: March 6th
Time: 6:30 – 8:30
Cost: Free but $10 donation by adult attendees would be appreciated. Donations will
help support Global Education Programs at NHS.
