Whittier Tech Holding Community Meeting on $445M Project
Thursday, 11/16 at 7pm at Whittier
The Whittier Tech Building Committee will be hosting a Building Project Information Session this Thursday, November 16, 2023, at 7:00PM at Whittier Tech, 115 Amesbury Line Rd. Haverhill, MA 01830. This is an opportunity to learn about the proposed project and hear from Whittier about why they plan to build a new school at this time.
The Whittier Tech School Committee is planning a $445 million school building project, and an election is planned for January 23rd to authorize the debt to build the school. Newburyport sends 29 students to Whittier as a member community, and would be responsible for $30 million to fund the project should voters approve of the new school. The election will be held across the whole district, and voting hours will be 11am-7pm.
