Award-winning local historian and author Ghlee Woodworth will visit “The Morning Show” on December 22nd to discuss the recently released second volume of the popular “Newburyport Clipper Heritage Trail.”
Host Mary Jacobsen will talk with Woodworth about the new volume’s expansion of tours beyond the first volume’s focus on downtown, to include a broad swath of neighborhoods with visits to shipyards, authors, poets, sea captains, photographers, cemeteries, and Plum Island.
Other sites include a castle, the sites of old cotton mills, schoolhouses, a distillery, a comb factory, a hotel and lighthouse, and a summer camp for disabled children.
