Parents for Peace Visits “Morning Show”

Myrieme Churchill, Executive Director of Parents for Peace, a nonprofit organization that works to prevent radicalization, extremism, and violence will visit “The Morning Show” on January 13th.
Host Mary Jacobsen will interview Churchill about resources the organization provides to family and friends concerned about a loved one’s turn toward extremist views or conspiracy theories, including guidance on what kinds of comments or questions are usually helpful, and what kinds may lead to cut offs and alienation.
Parents for Peace is founded on the belief that family and friends have an important role to play in helping people who are vulnerable to recruitment into extremism, because they can utilize their established relationship to build a foundation of trust to intervene.
Churchill will also explain Parent’s for Peace’s educational mission to increase the public’s understanding of all forms of extremism as a complex public health issue.
