Ipswich Massachusetts July 2021: Olde Ipswich Days has returned this year to mark its 50th year celebrating the arts and crafts after last year’s cancelation due to the pandemic. Olde Ipswich Days is a local artisan craft fair with handmade items that will feature over 50 artisans from up and down the coast of Cape Ann and the North Shore area. The fair will take place at the South Village Green near the Whipple House for the full duration of the last weekend in July starting on Friday the 23rd and ending Sunday the 25th. Nancy Woodworth will be featuring her hand sewn quilts who will also be celebrating her 50th year of joining the fair since its inception! This event is fun for the whole family from Art, to Devine, to hand blown items, Children’s Dolls and more including Bill Sargent with his books.
Be sure to stop by to support our local artists and photographers who will be showcases their keen eye for captivating moments in time to decorate your home. Such artists include Janis Anderson, Claudette Baker, Ellie Noris, Anna Igo, Gary Jernegan, Andrea Maglio, Helen Mulloney, and Melisa Partridge.
Feeling like tempting the fates around you, interested in handmade/poured candles or indulging in items all made by nature? Be sure to swing by and see Rebeccah Pearson offering Herbal and Wiccan Incantations and Oils and more, Kimberly Baker with her Bees Waxed Items, and Rebecca Gongas – Lauren Genovesi and Helen Matteson featuring their handmade candles, Rosemary and Don Gowdy with their own honey products. Helene Matteson, and Susan Randall.
Wood whittlers, and Pottery Casters and Glass Blowers will be offering their timeless masterpieces which will include Ronald Blais, Joanne DeVeau , Ellen Gravey, Peter and Patricia Guilday, Jane Ward, and Dave Petravage.
Needle point and hand sewn items have been a craft fairs indulgent for years, step back in time with Gabrielle Gauthier , Zwitza Kachinski, along with Betty Rizzotti.
Children’s items that include American Girl Doll clothing and more from artisans such as Gretchen Joy, Julie Kesterson, Kelly Jane Kloub, Leslie Luneau, and Karen Moore.
Sparkle up your wardrobe with handmade jewelry by Katherine Bagley, Deborah Way, Debra Macfail, Karol Peralta, Raelinda Woad, Michele Elliot, and Betty Marmion, and Michele Elliott of Michele Elliott Designs. Along with home decorating inspirational items by Lisa Weagle.
Lastly who could forget about our furry four legged friends, not Susan Kenna who will be offering felted jewelry, Dog jackets and catfish toys!
During the event Shirley Berry will be offering face painting, and the Whoopie Wagon is making an appearance with homemade whoopie pies and James Sherman will be offering his hot and spicy jams. The Ipswich High School Cheerleaders will be offering sweet treats from Winfrey’s Fudge. The Boy Scouts will be there selling hot dogs & hamburgers, and dine to live music by local singers.
